ICN's Star Student

Molly Shea was one of many students who joined us for Chess when we started curriculum classes virtually for all grades at PS 889. She quickly became Top 4 of her school - completing 247 ChessKid puzzles all-time. Her impressive engagement earned her a free spot at our Chinatown Gift of Chess Camp, and we were happy to meet and see her in-person!

Molly joined us in the Lower East Side during week 8, in our ten weeks of summer camp. In addition to actively participating in lessons during her week of Chess Camp, she continued her tough work on ChessKid Puzzles, Lessons, Workouts, and Articles - reaching King Level 8. Our Summer Training Camps provided daily themed lectures, USCF rated match play, group analysis, individual coaching opportunities, social play and much more. But we had a rare treat as well - Resident Artist George led his Art Lab simultaneously, and Molly made sure to take advantage.

Molly continues to challenge herself and has registered for our Fall Afterschool at PS 889, which starts this week. See you again soon!
